ABOUT PADDLEFEST:

The Lake Havasu Paddlefest in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, is embracing the sport of non-motorized on-water recreation. It has become a well known fact that kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and canoeing is the fastest growing segment in the outdoor recreation industry. With each passing month, thousands more people join the ranks of devoted paddling enthusiasts for fun, relaxation, exercise, fitness and better health. Lake Havasu Paddlefest is being organized by Southwest Kayaks of Lake Havasu City, AZ, the official Hobie Kayak dealer. The event, however, is not limited just to Hobie owners – it is intended to be all-encompassing, attracting all ages and categories of paddling fans. We’ve done our best to create an event that appeals to all facets of the sport focused on the spirit and sheer enjoyment of a recreation we all share. We invite you to check out our event schedule and join us this November for what will be an annual Lake Havasu tradition. On-site registration starts Friday 10/31 and continues Saturday 11/1.

New for 2014! - Italian Buffet at Makai Cafe

On Saturday night we will have an optional Italian buffet on the patio at Makai’s. There will be a no-host bar and a spectacular view of the London Bridge. Makai’s unique location allows diners to arrive by car or kayak. The buffet is $25.00 per person and can be selected on the Registration page. Please sign up for the buffet before October 29th, so we know how many will be dining with us.

The 3nd annual Sand & Water Expo brings you a wide variety of outdoor recreational toys. The Expo gives enthusiasts and consumers the opportunity to browse, compare and shop for the latest and greatest in offroad vehicles, trucks, sand rails, ATVs, UTVs, 4 x 4s, buggies, motorcycles, electric vehicles, RVs, toy haulers, travel trailers, boats and all related accessory products and services. LOCATION:

Lake Havasu State Park, Windsor 4 (base camp) — located on London Bridge Road. Directions: located between the Hampton Inn and Motel 6. If you’re traveling on Highway 95 through Lake Havasu City, turn west (toward the lake) on to London Bridge Road (less than a quarter mile north of the London Bridge, In N Out Burger is on the corner) and proceed for approximately one-half mile to the Lake Havasu Paddlefest.

ABOUT THE VENUE:

Lake Havasu State Park, Windsor 4 (base camp) has evolved into a much sought-after outdoor special event facility hosting such successful events as the annual Bluegrass Festival, Rock-A-Billy Concerts, major fishing tournaments and the annual Lake Havasu Boat Show. It has over 250,000 square feet of level asphalt, more than 100,000 square feet of beautifully maintained greenbelt, a large landscaped park area with trees, concrete walks and crushed rock, and over 300 yards of newly renovated white-sand beach at the shoreline of Lake Havasu perfect for kayak and paddleboard launching. The entire facility is completely fenced for added security and there are two separate easy access entrances to accommodate large vehicles, motorhomes and trailers. The facility also has an adjoining RV/campsite area operated by the State.

Friday — 12pm – 6pm
Saturday — 8am – 5:30pm
Sunday — 9am – 1pm

CONCESSIONS: Food and beverages for sale on-site. Participants and spectators may bring their own coolers. No glass containers allowed. Dogs on leash are okay.

PARTICIPANT ADMISSION & PARKING: Free  (There is a $2.00 adult admission charge on Saturday and Sunday for spectators — ticket price includes admission to Sand and Water Expo and the ICS Homestyle Chili Cook-Off)
(There is a fee for paddlers to register and participate in scheduled activities)  We request that all registered participants enter Lake Havasu State Park, Windsor 4 through the southern most double gate entrance located behind the Bridgewater Motel on London Bridge Road.

DRY TENT & MOTORHOME CAMPING AVAILABLE: On-site tent and motorhome camping at the Paddlefest ‘base camp’ (the greenbelt area at Windsor 4) is free to registered participants of Paddlefest.  If you wish to camp at the RV/campground at Lake Havasu State Park, please make reservations with the Park Service and normal fees apply.  If you are a registered participant, you are not required to pay the normal State Park entrance fee — tell them at the gate that you are part of Paddlefest.
